We are proud to be a part of this District! Congrats!Although this afternoon brought a little wind and rain, it was a perfect day to hold the Cedarburg High School groundbreaking ceremony to signify the beginning of our building project. Excited groups of students, staff, district administrators, school board members, City leaders, CEF and PTO members, parents and project managers from Groth Design Group and CG Schmidt attended the events.
Speakers included Superintendent Todd Bugnacki, Board of Education President Chris Reimer, Cedarburg Mayor Mike O’Keefe, CHS Principal Adam Kurth, and CHS educators Julie Grisar and Heather VandeSande. CHS Senior Maya Johnson spoke during the dedication and lead the crowd in the Bulldog fight song!
The first phase of the project, which is expected to be completed by August of 2020, will include a new Tech Ed/STEAM/Art wing, a new cafeteria, maintenance building, and kitchen. Phase two, which includes building remodeling, will follow and extend through summer of 2021.
The groundbreaking ceremonies are a tribute to the collaborative efforts of an entire community. ...

CEF Supports Outdoor Learning for CSD Students -Innovative Scientist in Residence Program Grant Approved
The Cedarburg Education Foundation (CEF) has awarded $2,500 for the Riveredge Scientist in Residence grant submitted by Webster Middle School Science Teacher, Ms. Jodi Rogahn. The Scientist in Residence is an innovative program which forms a partnership between a school and the nature center by placing a Riveredge Nature Center educator alongside teachers to serve as a resource, mentor, and support system. The residence, which will happen in the 2019-2020 school year, helps meet needs defined by the district and builds a culture of outdoor learning that can be incorporated in day-to-day curriculum across subject areas for CSD students from 4K through 12th grade.
The CEF is proud to provide a funding source to enhance teaching methods not accounted for in the Cedarburg School District budget. Please remember that funding of grants is possible through the fundraising efforts of the CEF. The CEF’s upcoming fundraising events for 2019 will be our Fall Gala on November 9th, 2019.
